Eric M. Mensh

Principal, Managing Partner


Eric has spent the majority of his career developing expertise in the areas of managed markets marketing, sales and training both on the manufacturer and agency sides of the business. He has been deeply involved in issues related to access and reimbursement for biologics and specialty pharmaceuticals as well as contracting and formulary access for small molecule products. With over 20 years in the medical industry he has successfully launched products ranging from orphan to blockbuster and from medical devices, to biotechnology products. Eric is a proven leader in identifying and providing strategic and tactical solutions that set trends in the payer marketplace.

 

Prior to founding Access Pointe, Eric was Executive VP and co-owner of Radical Group, a Managed Markets Marketing Agency. He has also served as a Vice President at McCann Healthcare, Torre-Lazur Managed Markets, and as Corporate Vice President at Option Care focused on adapting specialty pharmacy operations to meet the needs of the rapidly growing number of infused and injected biologics. 

 

Eric played a critical role at Centocor (J&J) as Director of a national team of managed care account managers and prior to that in payer marketing and as a field National Account Manager.

 

Before being recruited to Centocor Eric served as a National Account Manager with two major device manufacturers and developed expertise in payer marketing related to devices, coding, reimbursement, billing and contracting.

 

Eric has been responsible for developing and implementing strategies to launch, expand and/or protected payer coverage policies with commercial payers, Medicare and Medicaid, specialty pharmacies, PBMs, and home infusion companies. He has developed payer and reimbursement training and marketing materials for numerous national pharmaceutical and biotechnology managed markets  and sales teams.

 

 

Maura Lessard
Director of Client Services

Maura is a healthcare executive with wide-ranging business experience and diverse knowledge of the current health care marketplace. She has been providing strategic planning, marketing and educational management support to the healthcare industry since 1992. Maura has extensive case management experience with a proven record of success and has held key positions in marketing and sales.
Maura is recognized by her customers and peers as a leader in coordinating, promoting, and delivering quality materials, programs and strategic action plans for her pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Her broad knowledge of healthcare industry issues and opportunities has been a decisive factor in her ability to help clients identify, implement, and successfully develop successful strategies and relationships with their clients.

 

Johann Odermann
Director, Account Management


Johann brings over 21 years of broad experience in the Pharmaceutical Sector to Access Pointe.  He has worked for large and small pharmaceutical / medical companies including significant time at Abbott Laboratories, Vivus Inc., Alza Corporation, Johnson & Johnson and Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America.  Johann has honed his expertise through key positions in sales, sales training, sales management, account management and marketing / brand leadership.  Along the way, he has worked with the majority of significant stakeholders in the US healthcare delivery system:  providers, patients, employer groups, payers (commercial, PartD, VA/DOD), health systems and provider medical groups.  Johann has worked with pharmaceutical and diagnostic products in all stages of their life-cycle – from pipeline through commercial development into loss of exclusivity status.

Johann’s proven track record of providing strategic marketing vision translated into branding elements, tactics and tools in the diabetes / cardiovascular therapeutic areas on the manufacturer side is a welcome addition to Access Pointe.  Prior to joining Access Pointe, he was responsible for developing brand strategy in the managed markets space for the diabetes franchise at Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America.
